Sunita is a senior partner to BlueCloud Healthcare and will be in charge of all BlueCloud operations in the UAE. Sunita has been practising corporate and commercial law for the past 18 years with a strong focus on healthcare, education and hospitality. She was a Partner with the Africa Legal Network for 4 years during which she focussed on her interest in emerging and developing markets. Sunita is active in her pursuit to encourage the growth of cross border trade by introducing strategic investors to Africa, South West Asia and the Middle East. Sunita is currently working on various healthcare projects in Africa and would like to create a self sustainable ecosystem for the delivery of affordable healthcare for all Africans.
Sunita has been recognised by the India Business Law Journal (2017) as a key India lawyer in their yearly report “Global Stars” and in October 2017 was conferred an international accolade of recognition amongst others by the Indian Corporate Counsel Association (ICCA) of “India’s Most Trusted Corporate Lawyers”. She is also the the regional leader for LABFA (Legal and Businesswomen for Africa).
Sunita is regularly called upon to speak at legal and business forums and conferences in the UAE, GCC, Europe and India.
Abhinav Srivastava is an affiliate partner with BlueCloud Health. He is an experienced management consultant with expertise in research, business development and strategic planning. He has successfully set up the consulting practice for dynamic Indian consulting firm, the Strategy Boutique which has clients across Europe and Africa and developed business plans and strategies across various sectors including hospitality, healthcare and manufacturing.
He has also created and managed a high performance eight member global research team for an economics intelligence product, and helped innovate and expand its scope to align with changing client requirements. Also worked on formulating marketing strategies and generating business for a corporate networking start-up. The Strategy Boutique in working in conjunction with BlueCloud in setting up diagnostic centres across Africa.
Abhinav has a BA in Economics from the University of Delhi, an MsC in Economics from the University of Leeds, and an MBA from the Warwick Business School .
Dr Amish Kanabar
Amish is an Entrepreneur, Hospital Board Executive, General Practitioner (GP) with a special interest in Urology, GP Trainer and Appraiser. He also has past experience in Pharmaceutical Industry within Regional Medical Affairs at GSK UK Pharma.
Amish is a regular speaker and panellist at Africa Healthcare Summits in UK + East Africa and is liaising with PE firms & Financiers to secure bankable healthcare projects in Sub Saharan Africa.
Amish is providing consultancy and advisory services towards hospital & diagnostic expansion projects including recruitment + CME training of healthcare personnel in East Africa. He has also been instrumental at partnering with a leading South African / Kenyan diagnostic Laboratory group.
He has been one of the founding members of Entrepreneurs Organisation in Tanzania; was instrumental in setting up an NHS primary care ‘One-Stop Urology & Happy Kidney Clinic’ in London and has contributed in the past towards online CPD development for Doctors.Net UK.
He graduated from Leicester Medical School and completed his General Practice training at Oxford. He has a passion for introducing working models of primary and secondary healthcare delivery in UK, into the African healthcare space.
Amish is a keen squash player and has climbed to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro.
Charmaine is a highly experienced, resourceful and competent professional, proven to manage the complete lifecycle of diverse practical and academic projects from initial concept, feasibility, and planning through to successful completion and delivery.
Charmaine’s passion is projects that involve developing or improving patient access to healthcare, specifically emergency healthcare.
Charmaine is involved in three main facets in healthcare provision:
Consultant: Strategic planning, hospital design, root cause analysis, change driven bottom-up, small and large group facilitation, improving flow, operational design.
Educator: My style is interactive and I have experience in didactic lecturing, simulation-based education and on the job-coaching, research supervision
Development: Projects from initial concept, research, recommendations, assist with implementation and monitoring.

Dr Alex Hakuzimana
Dr Alex Hakuzimana is a consulting partner of BlueCloud Healthcare. He is an MBA-educated public health specialist and public policy consultant. He is also an adjunct professor and a researcher. He has over 12 years of extensive experience in strategic forward planning, health policy development, project management and capacity development in public and private health programmes in Sub Saharan Africa and Caribbean. He has also expertise in health care marketing, results-based financing and health technology assessment.
Dr Alex has worked and consulted with several public and private organizations such as the government agencies, the German Agency for International Development (GIZ), Orasure Technologies and Internet.org in Rwanda, Clinton Foundation in Haiti, World Bank in Lesotho, EGPAF in Mozambique, Right to Health and Development in Zimbabwe and Cordaid in Sierra Leone.
Dr Alex holds a medical degree from University of Rwanda, an MPH with specialization in health policy from the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp in Belgium and an MBA from Swiss Management Center University in Switzerland.
Dr Alex writes on a broad range of subjects in various social media and communities of practice and continues to ensure his readers are kept abreast about various global health issues.
Dr Alex would be in charge of all BlueCloud project operations in Rwanda, and will play an instrumental part in all deals from the East African sub-region.
Les Funtleyder is a consulting partner to BlueCloud Healthcare and is responsible for the development and management of healthcare investment funds and related products. Les has been involved with the healthcare industry since 1993, both as a portfolio manager, analyst, and an employee of major pharmaceutical companies.
Les was until very recently a managing director of Poliwogg, a private equity healthcare firm.
Prior to Poliwogg, he was a portfolio manager and healthcare strategist for the Miller Tabak Healthcare Transformation Fund, managed a healthcare equity portfolio for Provident Advisors and a medical device analyst at UBS Warburg.
Les has written Healthare Investing: Profiting from the New World of Pharma, Biotech and HealthCare sevices (McGraw Hill) published in January 2009, which bridges the gap between health reform, innovation and investing.
He is widely quoted in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and is a frequent guest on CNBC and Bloomberg.
He holds a Masters in Public Health from Columbia University and a BA from Tulane University.
Steven N Adjei
Steven Adjei is a founding partner of Bluecloud Healthcare. He is an MBA – educated healthcare professional with a UK and African Healthcare background. He has a specialisation in community and regulatory healthcare with over 12 years experience, and has worked as a pharmaceutical consultant for most of the big pharma retail chains in the UK including Boots and the Co-operative Group. Steven is a regular participant in African Investment forums in Europe, and has a passion for FDI facilitation into African healthcare businesses. He holds a B.Pharm (Hons.) degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana and an MBA from Warwick Business School in the United Kingdom.
Steven is a past winner of the prestigious John Ocran award for the best pharmacy graduate and is a registered clinical pharmacist in Ghana and the UK. He is an avid amateur cyclist and has run 2 marathons in the past 3 years.
Steven is a regular participant in African Investment forums in Europe, and has a passion for FDI facilitation into African healthcare businesses. His articles on the subject have been published in prestigious periodicals such as the Global Digest and the Pharmaceutical Executive.
